Hi! I'm Michelle.
A San Antonio based portrait photographer and designer with over 15 years of experience. Bachelors of Fine Arts degrees in Photography and Graphic & Interactive Communication from Ringling College of Art & Design.
I am a photographer, a designer, a wife, and a mother. My love affair with art started when I was very young. As a child, I spent countless hours studying people, objects, and nature. Observing the way light would shine onto and through objects. Something about it is just magical. I studied the way shadows were cast, how light played an important role in all images, how colors set the mood, how contrast added emphasis, and how colors would change from cool too warm and back again.
In college, I studied the history of photography, we used film cameras, we experimented and developed our images in the darkroom. Out of college, I worked as a photographer, graphic designer, and creative director in the Washington, DC area for over 15 years with some wonderful clients including Fortune 100 companies before moving to San Antonio in late 2018 with my amazingly supportive husband of 13 years and our highly energetic preschool old son. We moved for the family-friendly community vibe and have not been disappointed.
I love capturing the special moments, the energy, and the personalities that tell a families unique story. I love children—I love how they don’t have a smile they put on for the camera like adults. I love their carefree, pure, and genuine spirit. I love the excitement when they giggle and the sweet calm when they are asleep. But most of all, I enjoy capturing the love in every moment and being able to share these moments with my clients to be enjoyed for years.
I look forward to working with you to create a custom session that tells your family’s unique story.
Kind regards,
Michelle
